Thanks Don S. , but the engine manuel goes up to the AQ225 "D" version and there's no mention of the AQ225 "E" version. Is there another one or a supplement available that outlines the changes for the "E" version. Thanks again.

Don - Thanks for the links. This is my first post and I am a total newby. I have Volvo 225D motor and not sure on the drive. I thought I read somewhere that this motor came with a 280 drive? Would you be so kind to post a link to the 280 drive manual. I already downloaded the 270 manual. My boat is a 1984 Bayliner Capri Cuddy 19 ft. Thanks so much. :) - Wayne H.

That manual is the one Volvo says to use on the 225 E and F models also. Not this manual was updated in 1997.
Trust me, the older Volvo manuals were of little help back then or now. But still better than any aftermarket manual. They were designed for Volvo techs than new a LOT about engines and troubleshooting. there used to be specific manuals for troubleshooting electical problems, I have half of one but nothing on .pdf. Even it didn't help a lot. Back then it was all tech schools if you wanted to learn how to troubleshoot and fix them. That or the school of hard knocks. I have a bit of both.

Wayne, in the future, start a new thread with your question, don't hijack someone elses thread with your question. How would you feel if someone took over your tread with something completely different.
