Outboard Motors

I have two outboard motors that I have acquired over the years but don't have any information on them as far as year, etc.

One is a 100hp Evinrude and I would like to find out how to identify it and get a repair manual for it.

The other is a Mercury outboard motor with a serial number of 2170436 - same thing I would like more infomration on the motor and a repair manual.

Any suggestions on how I should go about this? Thanks.

Post the model number you should be able to find it on the transom bracket or on the round plug on the powerhead.

The model number for the Evinrude will identify it.


For the Merc I am pretty sure thats a 1967 model but I cannot tell you any more, not even the HP
