I am trying to get the carbs off of my honda 30 hp outboard fourstroke and i cant get the air intake off. There is a bolt way down at the bottom of it and i can hardly see it let alone get it off. Is there something i am missing to get it off.
Thanks for the help

The correct way to do this is to remove the entire intake manifold with carbs and airbox intact and then remove the carbs.I know it sounds crazy but that is a 4 stroke industry standard and you'll see why when you get further in.

I usually use a 1/4" extension, universal and 10mm socket to remove the lower screw on the airbox. I have never removed the intake on mine and believe me, my carbs come off and apart for cleaning a bunch. I usually run about 12 or more hours on mine daily. I may have to try the intake thing though.
