Hi all, I I believe a '94 28spl and I'm having trouble getting it adjusted so that it runs when I put the cover back on. Iget it running smoothly w/out the cover but it dies when I place it back on. It only has the one hole on the cover where the battery cables and the harness for the remote control go. It almost seems that it starves it for air after cover is placed. I know of only one adjustment knob/screw for the carb and of course with the cover on you can't get to it! Pulling hair out! any help greatly appreciated, also, anyone know where I might be able to download an owner's manual?:):)

Did it just start doing this or has it gotten worse?

Try squirting a little oil in the carb while the engine is runing, see if you get smoke coming from between powerhead and exhaust. Thinking you might have a blown base gasket, filling the cowel with exhaust.

Well, I did have this problem before but managed to get it adjusted right, the only problem is I can't remember exactly what I did . Some one else has fiddled with the carb adjust since. Its a fine line of getting the throttle cable and carb adjust proper.
