82 merc 50 hp trouble??

i got a 50 hp merc 82 model. hard to start hard to keep running except when in neutral will rev high.when idal it will cut off. when in drive will not tack up sometimes cuts off. sounds like somethings wrong with the carbs to me . only feels like its running at half speed.

Hi,

If it has spark on all the cylinders then you have a carb problem. A good cleaning will probably cure it. It sounds like it is running on two cylinders.
