There is a lot of BAD CL stories, I have my own as well..

But how about showing us your CL treasures??

I picked up these pedastal seats yesterday for $20 bucks..For both.

And I picked up 2 of these jump seats awhile back for 30 bucks each..

Well, I am at work, so I can't put up pictures.
Last year I was browsing CL, I wanted some more beer lights for my bar. Found an add from a town about 45 min north. Called the guy, got up there and WOW!

I brought home 12 lights for $90 bucks.
Sold three of them for a total of $200 and put the rest up.

Sold my Cub Cadet Z-turn on CL the same day I posted it.

These seats were $80.00 for the pair

Heres my Starcraft when I got her home $800.00

Then theres my 1960 Cutter runabout $350.00

Then theres the Daughters Scooter $200.00 its hiding back behind the Starcraft side panels .

How about my 1950's Geneva metal kitchen cabinets for my garage FREEBY on CL.

Theres lots more but thats a good start .

I bought a Kitty Cat snowmobile on there Sunday for $150.00! The guy was asking $300.00 and I would have paid him that, but when I asked him what the least he would take, he said $150.00!

Well, I got the boat on CL and still consider it a pretty good deal. I could probably get 50% more than I paid in a few hours back on CL. I picked up a Toyota on CL and sold it 1.5 yrs later for the same price. Also just picked up a 4.5 Johnson.

The best story though is the kids swingset/fort. It is one of those several thousand dollar kind. We got it for $100 and I guess I was being so slow dismantling it (several hours) that the PO decided to tie the remaining parts (5x5 tower) to the top of his Mercedes and drive it down the road to our house. You should have seen the looks he got with that huge thing strapped to the top of his car. I was afraid the roof would crush.

1989 Dodge D100 truck FREEBY lter sold for $600.00 to finance the Starcraft.SWMBO called it the Calico truck LOL.

Welding Table made from all free materials from the above sites.

Side by side fridge Freeby . Works great for the Shop LOL.

Set of Chrome 16" ford truck rims $100.00 CL.

Tilt trailer for garden tractor $25.00 CL.

1963 Ford F100 uniibody custom cab big back window truck $50.00 evilbay and yes I have the whole truck in the middle of taking it down to the frame for a full resto .

1964 Crestliner Del Rio . The owner gave me $300.00 cash plus the boat for a used Air conditioner unit LOL.

Last one for now Craftsman tablesaw with fully expanding table $50.00 CL.

I got 4 nice OEM alloy chevy truck rims for $250. They were advertised as coming with tires. I figured the tires were probably junk. Turns out they were BFG Long Trail's with probably 90% tread life left in them. I got those mounted up pronto.

I got the boat in my avatar in February for $3800, I thought it was a decent deal.

When the outdrive got fried, I bought a slightly used one (Alpha One Gen II 1.98GR) for $325 with a SS prop. It works great, I just wanna change the impeller because I have no clue when it was changed last.

I don't have pictures, but I got a pair of Mercury Offshore Series stainless steel props, 4 blade, 13.75x21p with hubs for $40.

My IMP Cherokee was FREE! and in running condition, just needed new seats.

Here's my latest project, the early 60's Texas Maid 15-foot aluminum Impala runabout...first pix as found in a CL ad, second pix 2.5 years later and still not finished with it. Cost me $300 plus half a tank of gas...plus $1,200 give or take and a lot of fun time.
