We go to take the boat out and i always turn the blower and bilge pump on, blower works fine, bilge pump not working, thinking it is just a bad pump i also notice the lights on the switches not coming on. I turn on my nav lights and nothing is coming on. All the dash gauges work perfect and the blower and ignition and the boat starts right up. I cannot locate any fuses, etc, not sure what to do. Boat is wet slipped with no trailer and i cannot have a boat without a bilge pump. Everything was fine over the weekend. It has to be a fuse right. If it wasa ground wouldnt i have lost everything

it is a 1999 230 chris craft sport deck, please help

get a volt meter and start testing. we have the same boat. battery switch on all? accessories are independent, gauges work off power from motor.

could be a fuse.
look in your owners manual for the location of the fuse box (panel) then check them. also check all the connections at it just see if they are corroded.

I sopose for the time being you can hot wire the bildge pump. just done leave it running, use the float switch.

It sounds like a common point of failure. Check power connections common to all devices - both positive and ground connections.

OK this is ODD

I found a wire hanging down in the back that said 21 battery on it. I looked at the back of the switches on the dash and there was a open place for a wire like this to attch and crimp at both the switch labeled ACC and at the cigarette lighter type plug that says 12 volt receptical. I touched it to the back of the 12 volt receptacle and nothing changed but when i touched it to the back of ACC everything worked as long as the ACC switch was turned to the on position (I turned it right see photo below.

The odd thing is before everything worked on its own switch but ACC did nothing. Now i have to have acc on to use any of the lights int he boat or the bilge. I did however get a hose and fill the i bilge up with water and the float switch must be hard wired to the battery as it kicked the pump on like it should when the bilge filled up to a certain level.

I actually like it better this way as if i leave a light on say in the head or the storage compartment in the past it would have just stayed on and killed the batter. Now if i turn ACC off everything turns off

I know though that something is not right here as why would it be so different. That red cable i found must belong somewhere else but as it is my boat is 100% good to go and i kinda like the added feature now.

I looked at my owners manual but it is a generic one for all chris crafts of that year and while there is a wiring diagram it is not specific to my boat.

What do you all think is going on here. Obviously that red cable must have fell off when hitting a wake last time we were out but why is it working now like this???????? Here is a pic of the switches i am talking about

BTW where the heck is the fuse panel, i looked EVERYWHERE, there is an inline fuse at the ignition and the stereo but other than that i found NOTHING

Its possible it goes to the + side of the buss bar under the dash.
It was probably on a hot connection that was not switched originally but now its on the acc connection.
It should have the buss bar under the dash somewhere.
Find it and get a cheap test light and start looking...;)

Or if you like it that way leave it alone and it should be fine...

The reason you can't find any fuses is because you have circuit breakers. Those black deals beneath each switch are circuit breakers. Push to reset them if they pop. You should have +12 volts going into each one of those breakers. The out terminal of each breaker goes to the input of each switch. The output of each switch goes to the hot lead of the device that switch controls. The light in each of those lighted switches has a ground terminal on it and for the light to work, that ground wire must be attached to ground. That ground wire is not needed for the device to work. It is only for the light.
