'99/90hp Won't idle after carb rebuild

Have had problems with her for a couple of months.
I had a high speed miss, rebuilt the carbs, now it won,t idle.
Starts fine, but will only idle if I keep pressing the key.
She runs great if I throttle it past idle, in gear.

I have tried the idle set screw at 3 1/2 and 1 1/4 turns
didn,t seem to make a diff.

Ran 40 miles overall yesturday, just couldn't keep it idling.

If all you did was over haul the carbs, sounds like you need to look at the idle or low speed circut in the carbs.

did you remove the jets, and blow out all the ports, starting point on the idle mixture is 4 1/2 out from lightly seated. do only one at a time, 1/8 to 1/4 turn, then wait for the motor to react 15 seconds or so. must be done in the water.

did you do a link n sinc after carbs?

I did not link and sync
I did order a factory manual, have a seloc, i,m hoping the new manual
will shed some light

new manual will have linc n sinc, under synchronization.
