I have a 92 mariner 150 magnum II .It runs fine until you throttle up then the motor misfires and will not run over 3500 rpm. Anybody have a suggestions for fixing this problem. I"ve chaged the plugs and put Heet in the tank to absorb any water that might be in there. HELP!!!

You need a manual and a DVA to troubleshoot ignition problems. Could be a stator or a switchbox. Both are expensive. Proper diagnostics are the easiest and best way to control parts costs.

hope it helps

Make sure you are firing on all six cylinders. I had a similar problem, and found it to be a bad switch box.
