Hi - I picked up my new to me 2006 Four Winns H210 today. We were unable to sea trial due to our schedules but felt comfortable about the purchase with all maintenance records, and only 96 hours...
Anyway, we ran it on the muffs when we picked it up and it started just fine. When we got home I put it back on the muffs and tried to rev it but nothing. I pushed the button on the throttle and moved it forward but no change...I read the manual and it appears I'm doing everything correct but I have to be missing something. I can also put it in gear and I hear it clicking but it doesn't do anything when I move the throttle ahead.
What am I missing? I really don't think anything is wrong but I'm a little troubled it's not working as I think it should. On my previous Mercury 150 outboard it worked the same way without any issues!
I also hooked up the hose to the flush fitting on the engine and when I put it into gear the prop will move but will not rev at all...I feel a sickness coming on and will have to leave work tomorrow to get her on the water if I have to go my myself..this is NOT A GOOD FEELING!!!! I called the previous owner the but the call went straight to voicemail...again, this has to be something simple but I don't know what else to do or to just know that you can't rev it up on the hose and to know that it's okay..........
