Stained upholstery

I laid a soft plastic jumper-cable container on one of my seats yesterday. Today, there is what appears to be permanent stains on the vinyl. I have tried every powerful cleaner we have, even a little gasoline, and no improvement was made.

Any ideas before I call the upholstery shop.

I've found that Purple Power degreaser works great on my upholstery.
