I really dont trust the beeping screaming siren in my boat anymore as it has given me false warnings... and not given me warnings when I needed them. I would really like to install a tempreture gage in the boat. The question I have is, can I just hook a guage up to the same line that the temp sensor has going to the alarm? Or do I need to install a whole new setup? Also, what guage can I get? Are they standard or is there a certain voltage or amperage or resistance? The engine is a 1999 Mercury 60hp Bigfoot 2 stroke. The stock temp sensor is part number 787992. Thanks for helping out a newbie!!
