Oddball movie question...

OK guys,

Thought I would toss a weird question out here for you...

I am trying to find the name of an old cheesy movie...

I believe it was from the late 70's (maybe early 80's max). A kind of cheesy horror flick...

The movie was about a mutated bear that was attacking people... I believe they were at some sort of summer camp or indian type place (remember teepee's or tents for some reason)...

I Also remember the people hid in tunnels under the tents/buildings, and the bear thing busting through trying to get them...

Another scene where it got someone in the lake there... one guy shot it with an arrow...

(sorry just trying to give as much info as I can about the movie to see if it jogs someone's memory).

I have come up dry on my online searches... mostly because I can't for the life of me think of the name... I have a strong feeling it starts with a "P".

If anyone can help, it would be appreciated...

I want to find it for a practical joke. ;) (my wife doesn't like camping on our property in Ocala because we have seen a few bears.... I thought it would be funny to set up for movie night here once to scare the Mrs. hehehe ).

Sorry if this is a bit of an odd request...

Def never saw that gem of a movie

Consider going straight for blair witch project. My wife and I lived in an apartment in the city when we watched that and we were both still freaked :)

Holy jeepers! That was fast!

You are dead on.... thanks soo much... (It was 1979)

Hehe I just watched the trailer for it on youtube... LOL it looks cheesy... the girl jumps up in her sleeping bag as the bear throws her across the camp and she is obliterated on a rock LOL... but I saw it as a kid and it scared the beejebus out of me.

tag line from the movie: "She Lives. Don't Move. Don't Breathe. She Will Find You."

Now to see if I can find a copy of it somewhere... the Mrs will LOVE this I am sure LMAO

In case anyone else is interested in old horror flicks, here's the info:

I remember that movie and you're right-it was cheesy. Saw it with my son who was around 10 at the time and we laughed about as much as anything else. This is what I like about these forums; there's hardly any subject that someone dosn't know about.

Is that the one where she had cubs and none of them had hair? At one point in the movie they made it to a ranger station and had to go under the fence?

I remember a movie like that. I was in second or third grade at the time.

That's the one. Netflix has it, rented it about a year ago. Love the scene where gramps tries to stop it at the lake and got turned into a chew toy.:D They did that shot with claymation and it reminded me of all those Bert I. Gordon films.

There was a made for TV movie in the early to mid 70's about a huge bear on the rampage just eating folks left and right. There was a tag line..."That thing is a D8 dozer with teeth!"
One of the potential heros, just before he was killed, decided to fire all rounds from his Winchester lever action, from the left hip. I guess it made good footage, just not good round placement.

On something unrelated, the August 21 episode of "Psych" had the lead character firing 9 to 11 blanks at a "bad guy" in a western reenactment town. Of course it was from a six shooter.

Maybe not one of his better examples but one of the best directors of all time.

So, you are planning on using the property by yourself from now on?

Yeah, let me know how that works for you, or who ends up with the property after the divorce.
