Saving Private Ryan is one of my favourites. If you get your hands on a copy of the min series Band of Brothers. Another all time favourite. Somebody mentioned The Kingdom. That was good. Also Gran Torino.

I'd grab Shaun of the Dead first then. It's from the same crew that did Hot Fuzz, but I thought Shaun was much better.

I highly recommend Tenenbaums. That is one of my favorite films. Very offbeat. People either get the humor, or they don't. I'm laughing just thinking about it.

Weatherman & Bad Santa are on that same line of humor as well.

I don't think anyone hear has mention it yet, but The Usual Suspects is a must see. That's somewhere in my top 5 of all time. Mememto is another great film. Both of these have shelf life. They're the type of film you're still thinking about days later.

That was excellent. Mystic River & Million Dollar Baby some other great films Eastwood has directed recently. My favorite Eastwood film is Unforgiven

Oh uhh I know a movie you can really get in to, Its a western, uhh plenty of action, a real "ride em cowboy" movie. It's called "brokeback mountain" LOL

If you like Reservoir Dogs then you would love The Departed. It's one of the best movie made in the past 3-4 yrs. Into The Wild was weird but good at the same time. It pretty deep, has one of the most profound statement I can remember on a movie. "True happiness is only real if you can share it"

I concur on The Departed. Great film. I enjoyed Into The Wild, but thought it was a bit long. Worth seeing regardless. The soundtrack is worth picking up also.

The thing that stuck with me from "Into the Wild" is it's a (painstakingly researched) true story.
