Yes I have a 1986 90hp Johnson VRO and Ihave two cylinders that are not firing at all I spoke to Two Different people and of course i got two different answers One said it that it might be the trigger advance and the other on said that it might be the power pack

Please Need Help !!!!!!!!!

They could both be right, many times its advisable to change both parts at the same time, PP and trigger.

But it could also be the coil grounds, you have to go through it , remove coils and check for corrosion, clean grounds and reinstall.
Swap coils from one side to the other and see if the problem follows the coils.
bit of a hassle but cheaper than buying a PP on speculation.

Also, does your engine have a shift interupt switch? sometimes they get sticky and knock out a couple of cylinders, if you have one disconnect it and try again. The switch is mounted on the shifter arm, lower starboard ide ( I think) , but again your engine may not have that system.
You ought to get the factory service book, you'll save a lot of money fixing these little problems yourself.

Well I Did Find the problem i cleaned all the coil grounds and then i went and found a power pack that came off of another VRO 90 hp well i cleaned it up and installed it crossed my fingers and it worked Now i have fire to the left and right banks on the motor also i want to say thanks for the valuable info ..
