Hey TB, Outboards are real simple.
Fill the fuel tank, after adding the proper amount of fuel stabilizer. Run the motor on a flush device for a few minutes to circulate the stabilized fuel. Spray some fogging oil into the carb intakes, until you get good smoke or it stalls, or both.
Stop the motor, remove the flusher, and wait for the engine to drain completely. Now grease the zerk fittings, and the steering rod. Drain the gear lube completely, and refill using new gaskets on the plugs.
Spray the block with some corrosion inhibitor. Store the motor vertically.
Now you are done with the motor. Clean up and cover the boat.
