Dave. I am extremely glad to hear the final results of your prop tests. It sounds like this cured all of the problems as well as top speed. I have told people here a 4 blade prop can actually increase top speed if you have a lot of prop slip, but I don't think many of them really believe it. LOL

Well, it's a new season and we made some changes over the winter. Just thought I'd let you know the new results. With the prop you recommended last season we had great results. I also tried some ideas other posters chimed in with. I called Bennett Trim Tabs and asked for a recommendation on new tabs. They recommended we change out our 12 x12 tabs for some 12 x 24 tabs. This was easier than expected. These are our results with the prop you recommended and the tabs. We are now on plane at about 3,000 rpms and can cruise at 20-22mph(depending on seas) on plane at only 3,400 rpms. Thanks to you and all the other posters the boat handles and steers great and gets on plane and stays there 1,000 rpms lower with a 7mph average speed increase. Dave

Dave, it sounds like you have it 100% dialed in at this time, those heavy cruisers are very hard to dial in. It is great to hear you are happy.

What is the boat motor combo that the de-pitched QL worked so well on?
