Hi to all in this forum, I have a question to all expertize on force engines, I have 1999 120 hp force that was total damage to the engine block and I replace this outboard for a 1994 same hp, but this engine have all the electronics rust and old, it is working properly, but I don't feel safe, I keep all the electronics from the 1999 that looks almos new, the question is if those parts fits to 1994, (I have everyting but the stator and triger from 1999).
thanks in advance for any advise.

Re: electronics help on force 120hp 1994

The ignition system from the 1999 is a much cleaner set up that the 1994 (which uses the switch box). 1999 is also easier to trouble-shoot. You need a trigger from a 1996 or newer motor to switch the ignition system over to the 1994 power head. The stators for the 1994 and 1999 have different part numbers, but from what I can tell they may interchange. The connectors on the end of the wires for the stator and trigger are different between the two years but can be cut and new ones soldered on if necessary.
