motor model V4AL15E
SUPERSEAHORSE
Electric shift
motor was advertised for parts so i bought it $25 bucks seemed fair
motor must have been removed from boat by cutting wires..
is complete and has good compression....
let me take a minute and explain the wiring to you,and hopefully one or two of you can instruct me how to power up the coil to see if this thing will spark and shift.
there are nine wires besides the main pos. and neg. that are for starter.
there are two large white wires (one with a blue stripe) also a red wire and blue wire that head up under flywheel(the red wire splits and the split heads to coil)
other group of wires have a brown wire which i think is a temp. sensor, and a white wire that goes to a microswitch on distributor.and a grey wire that connects to other coil terminal.
and the green and blue that head downtown for the electric shift.
Phew!!!
now i know this needs a junction box with solenoid and what not but is there any way to check for spark without the origonal wiring and junction box?
i have a parts catalog and wiring diagram on the way,but thought i would see if anyone has had any luck hotwiring(so to speak)
thanks in advance for any replies
