I have an old boat that is in great shape but the windshield is a little cloudy. What is the best method for bringing back clarity on what is probably Plexiglas?

Re: Cloudy windshield

You have too much pasted in the img window. Fixed below.

Polishing plexy is not hard, but if the cloudyness is in the plastic, it will not come out with polishing. Try a small amount of auto rubbing compound followed by polishing compound in the corner and see how well it works to clean up the plexy. Rubbing and polishing compound can be found anywhere from Walmart auto section to the local auto parts store. Usually around $3 for a small tin.

BTW, nice boat.

Or use some Meguiar's plastic cleaner and polisher, two products. Worked well on my old tinny.

I forgot to mention that your boat looks like an MFG. Lots of MFG's on the forum. Let us know how it turns out.

Re: Cloudy windshield

Thanks guys for the tips. I did the easiest thing first. Waxed it with turtle wax and it came out fantastic, couldn't believe it!!!

Sweet. Is that Johnson a 33 hp SkiTwin or a 40 hp Big Twin? Remain strong Swivelhart...use the force and don't be swayed to the Starcraft side of the force...crafty they are.

Re: Cloudy windshield

That is a 1966 60hp V-4 Johnson. No Starcraft for now...happy with what I got. What's the deal with the anti-starcraft movement???
