Hi gang,
1st timer here.
I have a very nice looking and running 1hp Wards SeaKing I`d like some info on like year of manufcture. The fuel tank is in front of the fly wheel which I haven`t seen before. Ser. no. 381-02691, Mod. no.64EA-02691.
Thanks, VH

A total guess is it may have been made by Tanaka based on the TOB 120.
I'm sure someone will be along with better info.

Hi steelespike,
Thanks for the response. How long has Tanaka been around? This motor looks like most from the late twentys or thirties. Water cooled, rope start, (no rewind), wraparound half tank, only in front not behind the flywheel. It is nicely made and kind of makes me think Johnson/Evinrude. I`ll try to post a pic if I can figure out how. VH

It is a 1946 one horsepower, made by Evinrude. 381 is the Evinrude model number. 64EA says it is a '46 (reverse the 64), and the E says Evinrude.

F R,
Thanks for the reply and info. I was guessing a little too early. This is one that must have spent most of it`s days in the shed as it is about 95 to 98 %. I`ll try to post a pic. VH
