I can't seem to figure out how to time my engine. I had it where it would start with just a bump of the key but when i put it in gear and try to give it gas it would die. Not sure i had it right for the way the riming advances when the throttle increases. Please help.

do you have a manual for your motor? If not you really need to get one as it will give you the information that you need to do a linc and sync on the carb and timing plus other service items that really need to be done[ fuel pump diaphragm, water pump impeller, etc].

You need to adjust the idle screw out a bit to make it a bit richer. I have the same problem. But it is better to clean the carb. and fine tune the idle screw.

You need to buy a manual as you cannot adjust the timing and sync the carbs without one. Your engine is decidedly different from Force engines because you use a different ignition system.
