My NY Giants defense looked outstanding against a very weak Tampa Bay offense today. Gave up only 1 first down and 75 total yds until garbage time at the end of the fourth quarter. The running game was back and scoring in the green zone was nice to see. Was Tampa that bad or my NY Giants that good? Eli was cool and mistake free. Jacobs bruised a few egos and spleens. Bradshaw ran like a man possessed. Smith looks like a go-to man now! Big Blue smiles all around!!!

NY Jets and Garcia 3-0!!! Playing like a whole new team!

Brett Favre does for the Vikes today what Brett Favre did against the Vikes forever. Check out the highlights of the last 1:30 of that game!!!

On a personal note, a big thumbs up this week from me to Tony Dorsett for jumping off the popular media bandwagon and echoing my sentiments for some time now. Always respected that man even though he wore a star.;)

Break up that Detroit machine!!!!!! :D Great to see that celebration at the end of that game!:)

It rained all afternoon so I watched and read enough football to write a book.....

How's your team doin'????

UUUGGHHH, my Stillers let another one slip away! And this time, they actually looked like a real team, with the ability to run the ball. Well, for three quarters, anyhow! Darn it man!

Re: Week 3 of the NFL

Well, I'd really, really hate to say it right now, but I am a Bucs fan. Probably one of the last few left. Times are tough, right now. I am back in Ohio, but (un)luckily I got to watch this game at a sports bar. I don't know what happened! We couldn't run the ball, couldn't pass, the defense did a good job, but when the offense goes three and out, and throws an interception in their first six drives, the defense wears down. I can chalk a couple broken bottles up to this game, I don't think I've been this frustrated in a long time.

After the Rays missed the post season this year, and with the Bucs on the same track, possibly not even winning a game, I sure can't wait for hockey to start.:D Maybe the Lightning can bring us Tampa fans some hope. . .

The Pat's were not shy today. They looked like the old Pat's. Even tho they won Brady could have been a little smoother passing.

I sure don't know the direction the Buc's are going , but I dont agree with their coaching or quarterbacking decisions....
I have followed this team since '76, when I had season tickets for the first 11 yrs. I moved away and still supported them. All that was eventually paid for with the SuperBowl win over Oakland in '04.
Lately, however, I find it painful to watch them. If anyone thinks they had an iota of a chance to beat the Giants, I would want to know what they had been smoking....
Leftwich does nothing for this team......

My bears won again in another nail biter. 2-1, not a bad start to the season. Those friggin saints look pretty good! Of course they only scored 27 points but that was enough to beat Buffalo by 20.

I watched the end of the Lion's win. It was cool to see the crowd whoopin' it up. The camera caught tears in the eyes of some fans. Love a diehard football fan!

You are a tough sell!!!;):D

If he dont get rid of it sooner or the line does not protect him better he wont make it to game 8. At 40 it hurt just to get out of bed. I cant imagine the pain he is feeling after some of those hits.

Upsets killed my pick-em this week! And my Steelers, well, they are missing Palomalu something fierce! Without his fire they are giving it up in the end ... and to the BENGALS no less! YIKES!

I am happy for Detroit, even though they cost me points! And what is up with Washington???? Did they run away and hide for the year? Not a good weekend for me (Penn State played like the Steelers).

I'm still not convinced about #4.

You shouldn't be. If SF doesn't drop that pick six, then Favre losses that game instead of winning it. I'm not so sure that last play was't 50/50......SF played a role in losing that is for sure. They were in a horrible defense for the last play of a game. That was bad coaching and the Vikings reaped the benefit.

Loving my Ravens being undefeated, I only wish we could play the Steelers now, we have to wait till November for our first game with them.

You were tied for 8th place and have dropped all the way down to 22nd.

If the Cowboys can manage a win tonight I should be in pretty good shape.

However, the season is still very early. Best of luck to you, Aspeck.
