It's all a lie. There are no Rockfish in the Chesapeake.;)

Don't know what to tell you. It?s kind of hard not to catch them this time of the year. We caught over 45 of them Sunday afternoon and never let sight of the ramp.

What are you using? Bloodworms or cut bait? I was thinking on trying near the power plant by the 301 bridge before it goes into VA.

Neither, used artificial baits. Live lining has been producing as well.

This might seem simple, but check out mssa.net You'll find some gps coordinates there. Even if there's nothing close to you, if you look at the coordinates and compare them to a chart (available free online), it'll give you an idea of the kind of places they like to hang out. You won't really get info about structures, but you will get an idea of depth differences that can be key.

I wouldn't put much behind those numbers.

A lot of those locations are specific to a particular method and time of year. A location that produces in fish by chumming in early summer (i.e. a lot of those locations) may not be worth a look any other time of the year.
