welll here it is, when i put my motor into forward gear and go to motor up it starts popping out of gear, and when i put it in reverse it doesnot go all the way in it does have hydroelectric shift and it is getting power through the wires so is it the spring inside the lower unit that holds it in gear or somehting worse?

The shift is controlled by a pump which operates the clutch dog. Popping in and out of gear usually points to the clutch dog or the pump not moving the shift piston properly. I am not sure what you mean by it does not go all the way into reverse, is it jumping in and out also? sammo ott is correct, check your lower unit oil, are there any metal particles in it, it must be clean and the proper type, premium type c.
