Regarding the windshield snap on Bimini stand up top, On my 1800 Adventure series Lund, how much speed is safe with the top up ? AND are side curtains available for this top ? I see zippers along to top sides, but dont see anywhere to attach a side curtain along the bottom nor the sides of the windshield. Thanks for the assist !

there should be snaps placed along the gunnels the side curtains snap onto them and zip to the bimini there is also a another section that goes all the way back to the transom and a front cover for the seating / front area

I think the correct name Lund has for yours is a top set configured as a Sun Top, and yes there are side and slant curtains you can get for it. The slant curtain covers the rear of the cockpit area.

Lund also offers a Bimini Top, one where the front does not attach to the top of the windshield, but is open instead to let in more air. It covers more square footage of the cockpit than the Sun Top.

We have had our boat on plane at around 19 mph with the Sun Top up with no problems. Could probably go faster, I suppose. Just make sure all the the snaps are secured on the windshield. If you get the optional Bimini Top I would be hesitate to get her up to speed as the force of the air underneath might tend to lift it off its supports.

Thanks for teh reply..Yes mine has the snaps as you say and a zipper along the top of the sides- confirming SOMETHING is available.. Probably impossible to fine these on a 10 yr old boat...

It appears you already found a picture of the side curtains and slant top.

We only have the sun top that came standard with the boat. A Lund dealer might be able to help. Or you might find a canvas shop in your loacal area who can fabricate something for you. Used top sets in good condition may be hard to find unless you also buy the boat they are attached to! -Ken
