Re: Understanding Boat Function

Moved this to Boat topics and questions.

You need to post more information.
Things like IO or outboard, some have hydraulic pumps inside the boat.
Then find the forum for what you have.

Electrical questions, post in the electrical forum. Again, you will have to post what you have. No boat is the same as the next.

Picrures are a good thing if you don't know what something is.

On the first thats your T&T
The second is so you can watch the 6:00 news on your TV
Seriously it's most likely for you on board charger
You really need a manual or some classes or SOMETHING to be safe
Best of luck

This may come across as rude but is not mean't so..... You are not ready to go boating.... You need to take a safe boating course or seek out someone with experience to teach you.... There are a many things that you need to learn in person and not on the internet..... I applaud you for at least asking... Your local boat sales and service facility or marina should be able to direct you to a class in your area. Many of us learned as children from parrents or by riding with a friend in a boat
You can get a basic idea by searching for boating basics and such things on google but a hands on education is priceless

Ditto here.

You need an experienced boater to walk through that boat with you and show you what everything is and how it works.

You need education in how to go boating on the water. Take a class, and borrow or hire somebody to go out with you the first time or two.

Good luck, but please don't move that boat from the dock until somebody's educated you in the basics.

Guys, this thread was dug up last night by a spammer whose post I have deleted. I think Longstand has gotten quite enough advice in his time here on iboats in this thread and on numerous others he's posted.
