Finally..........bought a boat.

I bought a 73' Searay SRV 190, red with cream paint, and a cream color interior in great shape.

Looks just like this one: (Except the color is red, and in alot nicer shape)

Its in getting an impeller and a once over. It does run a drive as we had it out in the lake for 5min before it overheated from no flow. Its real solid and all original. I can;t beleive the floor is still perfect.

It got the little merc 120hp 4cyl and it run silk smooth. Im sure there are some bugs, but nothing a newbie like me can;t handle.

Congrats! I think you did good. You asked good questions on here and got some good answers. I'm sure you did your homework. The 120 will be no speed demon on that big of a boat but it's a proven and reliable powerplant with good parts/service support. Good luck with it!

Picking it up today after having it resealed and a new impeller. The guy said we caught it just in time as the oil was swirly with water and no corrosion had started yet. Will snap a few pics soon.

right on hopefully you get to take it out a couple of times this year, if you live in the snow zone

Still not fixed. No flow still and overheats. Guy said he will re look it over tomorrow and thinks the water pump on the engine may be faulty.
