Hi all I am new to boating I have a 1987 Sea Ray 190 BR with a 3.7 165 currently has a 3 blade 19 prop, I am looking for a new prop I damaged mine and want to fix it as a backup.. I am looking for something that will maintain my 40mph but give me a good holeshot, I am looking at these props any input greatly appreciated

4-BLADE PERFORMANCE COMPOSITE PROPELLERS
Four-blade Comprops run fast and smooth, while providing excellent cornering characteristics. You'll also enjoy outstanding acceleration and quick on-plane times. Comprops are made of a high-tech composite that resists leading edge dings common to aluminum props. If you have a high speed prop strike, the Comprop blades are designed to break and absorb much of the shock, reducing costly drive train repairs. At prices up to 40% lower than aluminum props and up to 80% less than stainless steel, Comprop simply can't be beat for low cost and high performance. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Boats and applications vary widely. When replacing a propeller use one of similar size and pitch to achieve similar performance. If application is more than 225 shaft hp or boat is more than 21' long or 3,000 lbs. in weight, then a Comprop is recommended at reduced power only.

they have 18,20,22 pitch

Bird, if these blades are so tough then how do they just break off when you hit something and cause no damage. It uses the same material for the edges of the prop as it does for the rest of it.

Comprops are made of a high-tech composite that resists leading edge dings common to aluminum props.

They are not as strong as aluminum or as resilient as aluminum that is why you can't use them on just any boats and motors.

If application is more than 225 shaft hp or boat is more than 21' long or 3,000 lbs. in weight, then a Comprop is recommended at reduced power only.

In my opinion you are better off with aluminum.

I have to agree with H if you want to use a composite use it as a spare.
If you want a prop that may improve hole shot and maintain top end check out the Turning Point Hustler. In the same pitch.Close to stainless performance at aluminum prices. These generally improve overall performance under these conditions. Improvement may vary from slight to signifigant, depending on the old props condition and design.
