I have a chevy astro 2002 with 140K. I did a tune up after the check engine light went on. The tune-up consisted of sparkplugs, wires, fuel filter, rotor, distributer cap, air filter and fuel injector fuel treatment. The vehicle is now running worse. It misses really bad at idle. Here are the error codes
02 sensor heater
Injector circuit open
Random multiple misfire
Evap. Emission control system range
What does all this mean? Why did this all happen at once?

Help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Check your cap or rotor is on right....check over what you did

As dolluper said check over what you did. You might have crossed a plug wire. Did you drop a spark plug? The O2 heater and evap. codes mean nothing as far as your problem. Multiple misfire that's a big clue. As hard as Astro's are to work on I bet you crossed a plug wire, ie, the wires are not in the proper firing order. Open fuel inj. circuit is a clue too. Make sure all the injectors are plugged in.

Wow. O2 sensor maybe should have been replaced?
Is the air filter cover on all the way/hose hooked up? (don't ask me how I know this makes a car run funny).
Spark plug wires all the way on the plugs/spark plug tips tight?
All the sensors plugged back in/wires going into connections tightly? (again, don't ask).
All in all, it's probably something very simple. Go back through and re-trace your steps. Whatever may have been done will probably occur to you in one of those "duh, stupid" moments that I always seem to have.

Curious...what were the codes before you did the tuneup?

Re: Help with engine errror codes

The most important one is the injector open circuit. Fix that, reset the codes, and go another round.

hope it helps

Re: Help with engine errror codes

Any further info?

What are the specific P codes you are getting now?

Did you scan the computer before the tuneup? If so, what were the codes that set the SES light.

I have had one instance of using the injector cleaner in an old tank/fuel system. The stuff worked so well that huge amounts of sludge/scale/crud was "cleaned" from the tank and ingested by the engine. Fuel filter completely clogged up, injectors badly fouled etc. Car ran like crap. Fuel pump then went into overdrive trying to pump fuel through a clogged system and burned up.
