i just got a boat with a 2000 johnson 130 on it. the boat was in the water when i bought it and the guy took me for a test drive and the boat ran great. it still does. i took a compression and there was between 120 and 125 psi on all cylinders. the plugs all looked really clean but they were not new. i noticed that at higher speeds a little bit of white smoke comes off the engine. is this normal or am i missing something.

ok the model is a j130vxsss which is a carbureated model. its sort of a steam that is coming out of the exhaust. i checked the plugs again this morning and there is no grey sludge on the plugs. they are black with a slight oil residue just like every plug i've had on my outboards.
