I was loking for kit for a # 0385784 fuel pump and can't seem to find one. Even the fuel pump picture in the evinrude parts look wrong. It is the same one as on my 1973 50hp and doesn't use the gasket in the back to block a hole. The 85 is a 85799S.
Maybe this one is not repairable. I rebuilt the one on my 55 hp 1977 but it has just one outlet besides the inlet filter. A gasket plugged a hole when it bolted to block.
This other pump has two outlets. I took it apart and it looks the same inside as far as gaskets go.
Is there a rebuild kit for the double outlet pump?

you have a 3 line pulse pump. no kit for it. gray fuel in from tank. green fuel out to carbs, red is the pulse line to the block.

The later pump kits will work ('78 etc), but there's a couple of plastic and bronze pieces that are different. All the gaskets and diaphrams fit.

OK, I think I got it now.
There is a pump that gets a pulse from the cylinder, two nipples and there is a pump that gets a pulse from the block, 3 nipples.
Thats it, they fit a large majority of motors, part numbers listed or not. You just have to see which one you have. It doses not matter if it is says it is for a 20-30 HP, it will work on a 20 to >100.

Well, not exactly. There's two styles of that pump. One with the little shoulders at the base of the top triangle, and one w/o. If you get one for the '78 85hp you'll get a kit that'll replace all but a couple of parts.
