How to fix your transome

Step by Step Repair at Seacast Home Base

got all this info from seacast web side...you can go there and find good pick ..how to do it by your self

1. 2.
transom in need of repair access from top, drain tubes and tow hooks removed
3. 4.
drill holes in prep for chainsaw method remove wood with chainsaw, carefully!
5. 6.
make sure all wood is removed place spacer and bolts, secure transom skins
7. 8.
tape holes & cracks, place waxed pvc in drain holes place trough funnel and secure it
9. 10.
2 buckets of Seacast open bucket & mix completely, then add catalyst
11. 12.
add ground fibers mix fibers well
13. 14.
pour in trough, side-to-side motion tap with rubber mallot to release any air bubbles
15. 16.
fill transom to top lay fiberglass cap on top of transom
17. 18.
tuck in fiberglass cap next place a funnel to pour into wings of transom
19. 20.
use a wood dowel to spread Seacast in wing use waxed wood slats to hold Seacast in wings
21. 22.
remove cap and start sanding tape off for paintiog, Voila!

Good luck getting all that wood out from the bottom. I can just see where this post is gonna go:eek:
