2nd Monday in October.

Canada, typically we have the Monday to celebrate but since we uh hum have "better beer" most of us tend to have it on Sunday and have Monday for recovery/left overs!

Have to agree about the beer thing !!!!
I spend a lot of time in the USA on business and the beer although O.K. is just not what it is at home here in Canada.

my wife was laughing at me because i hit reply before i looked to see where you were from....... and too stubborn to go back and see before i hit send :redface:



i will have to take your word for it that your beer is better.... since i have never been there

i can tell you arkansas has better beer than oklahoma.. i make the 20-25 minute drive to buy my beer ..... or just go and get a bottle of wild turkey from the local liquor store.

i may make the drive to canada for a good deal on a boat...... but not for beer.

remember drink responsibly.... which i always took as dont spill your drink, lol.

Just ask the seller to throw in a case of Canadian or Alexander Keiths with the sale, you may end up moving here.

I went to woodstock in Rome NY in 99, we brought 4 cases of Canadian with us, by the time we got through the gates we got rid of (traded) 2 cases at a 2:1 ratio, we figured the american's knew that too, I think the results proved that they did, thanks for wishes.

Labatt's ? Molson's? I'm in the states and Labatt's is the #1 selling beer in this region (Blue and Blue Light) Still remember OV splits (Old Vienna) and Molson's Brador, good stuff. Rick

Was in Clevelend during 1990, at a hydro race. The Canucks came down and shared a couple cases of Brador with us Yanks, lovely stuff, have not seen it since. Boo-Hoo.

Was sick thanksgiving weekend and basically stayed on the couch watching CFL and the Presidents cup, but I did eat turkey and pumpkin pie.

But that isn't the reason for my post.

Please be careful when talking Canadian beer around me. Because I'm, generally, in full agreement until the swill that is most of Molson's or Labatt's gets mentioned. While I enjoy their commercials, I rarely drink their beer.

Good Canadian beer means a microbrew or a mid-sized brewery. Sleemans has some really good products, including the Okanagan Breweries line. Local brewery is Tree and they make some really tasty beverages. And then there is the one out of Quebec whose name escapes me but sell 750ml, 8% brew. And wikipedia to the rescue, I'm thinking of Unibroue.

If you are a Bud drinker, then try the Molson or Labatts stuff.

If you like a real beer, try some of the microbreweries.

C'mon down to New Orleans and have a Turbo Dog or Purple Haze (Abita Beer). The stuff is not necessarily any better than anyone else's beer, but you gotta love a beer company that comes up with names like that! Besides, where else besides New Orleans, can you sit in a bar and watch a lawyer and a gutter punk discuss politics for two hours, while actually listening to one another?
