Evinrude Fisherman 5.5 hp

I just bought a Evinrude Fisherman 5.5 hp (max according to the plate on the cowling). Unfortunately, I do not know what year it is. The ONLY plate on the engine is under the spark plugs and it is a riveted plate that says 205112. Does this number signify model or serial number in any way?

Is there a plate on the rt side of the lower unit? Is the cowel metal or Fiberglass?

No there is not one attched and it is fiberglass.

there may be a number on a soft plug(silver disc near or on the head.
Fiberglass hood started in 59 squarish red white and blue 60 same style
red,white and black.61 daek blue w white triagle like blaze on the side.
Maybe easier if you describe or post a pic.

going to be darn hard to tell. It is painted black head to toe. I will try to scrape paint off.

OK. Found a soft plug on the side of the head.

Has a M in a circle on it followed by these numbers underneath he symbol:

5402B
E08978

Yours is a 1964 model.....
