Old tower of power???

i have a 150 hp inline six cyl. At least i think it is. the serial # is 5259365. i need the plastic cover over the filter on the fuel pump, and a engine wiring harness from the plug on the side to the engine. i was wondering if anyone new where to get these parts?

The book show part # 35-91078A1 is the cover and harness is # 84-69236A1

That Serial number didn't seem to corrspond to a inline six 150HP motor. It likely would fit a 150HP V6 motor, or a 1979 Merc 140HP inline six motor however.

It could also be a 1979 Inline 6 115HP motor.

The plastic fuel pump cover is easy to find on any junk motor, or at a dealer. The wiring harness is available aftermarket. The best price I found was at surplusunlimited.com

thanks alot for all the info. i just found out that i might have a diffrent power head instlaaed on this unit. it is a inline six. is there any way to determine what year or horse power form the block?

That serial number falls in line for a 1500XS(4868648 THRU 5327662 ) and it would be a 1977 model. It could be a 1500XS midsection with standard cowlings and lower unit XS had water pickups on bottom by skag. Look on right side of engine about the lower middle and you will see a part number stamped into block along with serial #.
852-6687 its standard 150
852-6631 its 150 XS
852-4880 its 140
852-3884 its 135
852-5034, 852-5254, 852-5586, 852-6192, 852-6432 is a 115
