Where do i get a windshield hinge pin ?

I had a walk thru winshield break and removed the hinge pin to take the frame to the glass shop and the pin was broken in the middle. Does anyone know where i can get a replacement pin? Any help appreciated, thanks

I was in Lowes the other day getting some SS hardware and noticed 3ft pieces of round stock in defferant sizes. Use SS or aluminum. Do not use straight steel. It will rust just as soon as you turn your back. Local Harware store would be a good pick as well. If you can't find the right size just put the two pieces back in. It wont hurt anything. But if your anything like me just knowing that it wasn't 100% right will drive ya freaking nuts...lol...

The original got bent up so i can't re install it. I would like the original because it has a head like a nail on the top. Thanks for the idea but if anyone knows where to get a replacement i would rather have the real deal. I am alot like you, it's either right or rigged.

Stainless round stock can be used, and the head can be formed with some heat and force. Should not be that hard.​

You can try a high end welding shop..... they may have a piece of heavy SS wire depending on the diameter you need and will even put a head on it

Find a boat salvage and buy it there. In my area there is a guy on craigslist that will find what ever parts I need. Sometimes they are a bit pricey but, he finds what I'm looking for every time. Maybe you can find someone like that.

Even a nail will work temporarily. As will a stainless cotter pin.
