I would like to thank the folks that post up on this forum first off, since this is my first post, and that ya'll have helped me more than you know.

I have to replace my VRO fuel pump on my Evinrude and I am going to go with a non-VRO and I found tons of info on this but I am posting up a question since my motor was not covered( a 3 cylinder)

I will post up this thread as a reference:

http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=213623

"Rickdb1boat" posted up a pic of what "I think" i need.

My motor says it will take a #5007422 fuel pump and those are $286.00 at the cheapest!!WOW..

Can someone lead me to a part number for my motor that is like some of the ones mentioned in the thread I put a link to??

Most of the fuel pumps I researched in threads on here seemed to be 2 cylinder 50 HP motors??

The #5007422 I found (on usavemarine)has a wiring harness in the picture even though there is not an oil injection on it?? I don't have an "Empty" plug for anything since my VRO side of the pump was already plugged off when I got the used boat?? What does this plug do if there is no VRO?

Thanks in advance for any info. I have visited ALL the forums that I could find on google and this one has answered all my questions up till now without having to post up..Thanks again for all of the info ya;ll have taken time to share..Hank Shear Canyon Lake Tx

I think that the pump that rickdb1boat used might work for my motor but I haven't been able to find any info yet if it will. The part # is 438559. I think it is an Evinrude part number and not an aftermarket but I can't confirm this yet?

yep its dead. I JB welded a crack on the VRO side now there is a crack on the other side. I JB welded that one and now there is a leak along the edge where it looks to be oxidized?? It might have set out in the sun prior to me buying it?? I would have rebuilt it but it is done. Its either a new one for $265 or the one that rickdb1boat posted up will run me between $75 and $80 online. I just hope that the cheaper one puts out 5 to 7 psi. If it does I don't see why it wouldn't work.

I just ordered my service manual today on iboats so I cant reference my stock fuel pumps out put in PSI. Can anyone tell me what the fuel pump # 5007422 puts out for PSI. If you have that info can you tell me what the Evinrude fuel pump # 438559 puts out in PSI as well. I can't seem to find any specs on line.Thanks..Hank
