i dont know what they are called but the drives on speed/ski boats that is kind of L shaped but comes right out of the transom for an inboard boat, pretty common. What is this set up called? and are they good, bad, or ugly? considering boat with one as the drive sys.

you have outboard boat, inboard/outboard, and inboard boats.

inboard motor inside usually center of the boat, drive shaft goes thru the bottom of the boat.

inboard/outboard, motor is inside rear of boat, drive shaft goes thru the transom, to the L shape outdrive.

I believe it is an outdrive. so are these good or bad, whats the reputation?
