Rebuild Carb. kits 50 hp Merc.

Hello everyone, I just purchase new carb. kits for my 50 hp 1978. I have noticed that in the kit they sent they have two check valve diaphragms, one check valve diaphragm made of rubber and one made of a type of vinyl fiber. In the manual it only shows one diaphragm. Does anyone know witch one to use?
