I don't think that (for example) my opinion or any other member's opinion reflects on iboats itself. I was under the impression that this is an open forum.
Respectfully, if a person is going to overpower a hull, don't you think he should be given information to do it as safely as possible? This person HAS a 115 and most likely will mount it on his hull. Is it better to close the thread and let him rip out the transom with the engine?
In my humble opinion, closing the thread was an over-reaction and is like telling schoolkids to not have sex when you know that no matter what you say, they will anyway.
So: Is it not better that they at least know what they are doing?

BTW: I found the Canadian vs US regulations enlightening--I wonder if a few of the European and South American members could chime in.
