I am gonna be getting my hands dirty here shortly and need some ideas and suggestions. I have a 1991 Galaxy that I plan on taring out the interior. The floor etc is fine just needs the seating done. I plan on arranging it a little differently than originally. It is a 23' cuddy with one back to back and then a captains seat with a sink, stove and cooler console behind it. In the rear there is a the engine cover and then a seat on each side. As mentioned I plan on arranging the floor plan slightly differently. I am still brainstorming but below are the ideas that I have came up with. Any other ideas or suggestions would be great.
Option 1. Use the the original glass console on the captains side and then a new back to back on the port side. The console will need a good cleaning but other than that it is in good shape and can easily be renewed. I can get this to look nice and original but then I loose space to a sink, stove etc that will likely never get used. Above the engine I would build a large bench seat. It would have to be atleast 32"dx 67w & 24" high.
Option 2. would be the same as above but with two back to backs on both the captain and port side. This would remove the original console but give me a bit more seating options.
Option 3. Would be to remove both the original back to back and captains chair console and replace them both with either pedestal seats or jump seats. Then above the engine I would build a 32"-40" x 67" tanning deck with a bench seat below it. The bench seat would be roughly 22"h x 18"d.
