Mornin gang,

Just wanted to say how impressed I am with my new Yamaha F150 4 stroke. The low end torque is awesome! And with my 3400 lb boat ( wet 52 gal of fuel ) + 2 ~ 200 lb guys, gear, was able to get 45.2 mph on garmin GPS @ 5900 rpm. I didn't think I would see 40 mph. I wanted the F200 but it was an extra $4k. ouch! Yamaha outboards are incredible!

Yep, they're really good motors. Study your owners book, buy a shop manual for your motor, and keep clean, fresh, stabilized gas all the time and with any good luck, it'll run like a top for years! Hopefully, you already have a fuel/water seperator, but if not, install one. Good luck!

Invest in a Racor 2 micron fuel/water seperator, use Stabil Marine or Seafoam all the time and eliminate most fuel related issues going forward. So you spend $100 now, save many hundreds on your first trip to the Yamaha repair shop. Good Luck!
