i can't get my motor guide trolling motor to work on 24v
the battery is set up like it should be
could one side of the switch be bad
where can i get a new one

Before you start throwing parts at this problem make sure the switch is actually bad. An ohm meter will do that for you. If you don't know how to use one, find someone who does. Multi-testers (volt-ohm-milliammeters) are available at Radio Shack and nearly every home improvement store for 10 bucks to about 100 dollars. You can even do the tests with a simple test light available at most auto stores for just a few bucks. Show us a picture of the back of the switch and we can step you through the process.
