Ok let's say you took all the great advice offered and decide to go off shore with a perfect forecast except for a passing squall or two. Here you are with no visibility raining like crazy or in fog, and that freighter or tug & tow can't see you on their radar cause your too low to the water.
At night an open ocean is one lonely place, and it would be a good idea when you really know what your doing to first take a buddy and try an overnighter without your family.
