Ok, will keep this as short as possible.

Had fuel tank cleaned out and carb cleaned out and rebuild kit fitted. New fuel filter and water seperator also fitted about 6 weeks ago.

Boat was fine for a couple of very short outings, max of about 40 minutes on the hour meter, but last twice I have went to it, it has been hard to start, when it starts, it sounds fine... then 3-4 minutes into warmup it just dies like someone turned the key off. Then it is hard to start, and idle speed is very very low. It gets progressively harder to start. At first I thought I'd run her out of fuel, and the gauge may be stuck. So, I put 8 gallons of fuel in, problem still the same.

When it is refusing to start I pulled the centre lead on the distributor head and it is sparking OK

I am convinced this is a fuel problem, but just don't understand what it could be considering all the above work was done already.

I pulled the plug in the bottom of the water seperator and there was no sign of water coming out, and there is no sign of any sort of contamination in the filter bowl.

It's going to be 2-3 weeks before the shop are able to look at it, because I need to haul her out and tow her back to them around 80 miles away and I dont have a tow vehicle 'til December!
If it was something simple then maybe it would save me a trip.

Any ideas?

Thanks guys

Ayuh,... My best Guess is, the Bad fuel/ Crud is back haunting you...

It could be Crud anywhere in the fuel System, from the Tank, to the Carb, or anywhere in-between, or All of it...
