My 2001 Kohler 7.3 Genset has developed a drip that no amount of penicillin will stop.

Behind the raw water impeller housing (where the impeler shaft goes through) is starting to leak. Is it possible to get a replacement seal for this housing, assuming the housing not broken? Where can i find the housing and/or seal? I can find impellers everywhere, but that's it.

Thanks for any direction you can offer.

Go to Kohler power systems website, click on marine tab, enter your zip code and any dealer in your area will be displayed, if they don't have the parts they can get them. I also downloaded spec sheet and trouble shooting for mine some time ago. Mine is a 2001 5e yours should be a 7.3e. Neither are still made as of a few years ago, but parts are still avaliable.

OK did some checking. Do an internet search for Kohler tp-5985 [operation manual]. Kohler tp-5986 [service manual]. Kohler tp-5987 [parts breakdown]. Should help you for which parts you need.
