2 Engines, 1 Starting battery, 1 house battery... any wiring diagrams?

Hello all,
I have twin F150 Yamaha's on a center console. Currently I have 2 dual purpose batteries that are shot. I want to change to one cranking battery for both engines and one deep cycle for the electronics, etc. Any diagrams available for a set-up like this? Any other suggestions on how to do it (I don't think I have room for 3 batteries which would be ideal)?

Thanks,
Jason

Last I knew, Yamaha's rigging manual does not recommend a single starting battery for both engines. One reason for that is each engine has its own electrical system. So which alternator and regulator gets to control charging of that battery. You would have two regulators fighting for control. So add the third battery and a dual battery switch, combiner, isoltator or VSR between one of the other batteries. The engine with the two batteries will keep both charged. A set of jumper cables will allow starting the other engine if that battery takes a dump. Don't over complicate this.

Thanks. Yes I have come to that conclusion after extensive searches in the last couple days and nothing found. I'm just going to figure out a way to mount the third battery and set it up with a VSR.
