Only reverse.

Hey all, any help is appreciated. I was out on the bay and all was well. Turned the engine over and instead of being in neutral, the prop spun in reverse. Not fast but enough to move the boat backwards. When I put the throttle forward, it still spun in reverse and when I put it in reverse, yep...it went in reverse. Any ideas? Thanks

It is a 94 Johnson, ouboard. 90 horsepower.

Check the cables and linkage to begin with.

possible shift rod...but my cookies are on a broken cable...so let us know Remy..if I am wrong i will have to send Tasha some doggie biscuits...LOL

Looks like you get to hold onto your bisquits It was a broken cable. Fixed it and gonna get back out tomorrow night. Looking for the bug crawl! Thanks again
