Alternate fuel pumps..

Does anyone know if other fuel pumps can be used on these then the BRP ones? I though I read somewhere folks were using Mikuni snowmobile fuel pumps on old outboards. Any links to sources of information on such ideas? Are there rebuild kits available for these pumps? (late 50's & on outboards)

As always BIG thanks to the pros on this site..I'm learning a ton! And having fun bringing these old tillers back to life!

The Sierra 18-7350 will fit pretty well every Johnson/Evinrude/Gale 25 HP and less from 1956-1989.

The exception to the rule, if there is one, would be if the small hose nipple points to some obtruction. The large nipple can be re-orinented to any of the four directions.
